Post Offer, Pre-Hire Stage

In the Post Offer, Pre-Hire Stage, you may ask disability-related questions and require medical exams, even if the questions or exams are unrelated to the job or training, as long as two conditions are met:

  • All entering employees or trainees in the same category must be subjected to the same questions/exams, regardless of disability; and
  • All information obtained through these questions/exams must be kept confidential and stored separately from any other information about the person, and access to the information must be limited, as discussed later in this lesson.
